How can I stop my hamster from biting me when I pick her up?

My dwarf hamster is fine after I pick her, but when I pick her up, she bites me hard! For a couple days i was afraid to pick her up but recently I bought garden gloves so when she bites me it doesn't hurt. I don't want to have to wear gloves every time I pick her up! Please help!
I have had her for 3 weeks
